This policy outlines how Time4Languages keeps children safe during online French lessons. Safeguarding is a top priority, and all teachers follow clear procedures designed to protect every student.

- Time4Languages is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and respectful learning environment.
- All teachers understand their safeguarding responsibilities and follow UK safeguarding guidance.
- Who This Policy Applies To
- All students under 18 attending lessons.
- All teachers working with Time4Languages.
- Parents and guardians supporting children during online learning.
- Teacher Requirements
- All teachers hold an Enhanced DBS check or equivalent clearance.
- All teachers receive safeguarding guidance and understand how to report concerns.
- Professional boundaries are maintained at all times.
- Online Lesson Safety
- An adult must be present in the home while lessons take place.
- Students should join lessons using their first name only.
- Lessons should take place in an appropriate environment (no bedrooms where possible).
- Cameras should remain on for identification and safety unless agreed otherwise.
- Lessons must not be recorded by students or parents without written consent.
- Appropriate Behaviour
Students and teachers are expected to:
- Speak respectfully.
- Maintain appropriate clothing.
- Use appropriate behaviour and language.
- Report or stop the lesson immediately if anything feels unsafe.
- Communication
- All communication is between parents and Time4Languages, not directly between teachers and students.
- Teachers will not use personal social media or messaging apps to contact students.
- Reporting Concerns
- All safeguarding concerns must be reported to May, the Designated Safeguarding Lead.

- Personal information is stored securely and used only for safety and lesson delivery.
